Quenching a Thirst with Differential Equations

Ehrismann uses differential equations to model the behavior of carbon dioxide bubbles in a glass of beer. A sophisticated model is developed, but as is often the case, its predictions don't match experimental data. The author then changes assumptions about the drag force and gets better results.
